the saving photo option doen't work with the firefox update 18.0.1,

That problem is fixed in versions 2.3.2 and 2.4rc3. I've submitted 2.3.2 to become the default version; until then you can upgrade to either version at https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/thumbnail-zoom-plus/versions/
