Automatically switches to new tab in Thunderbird 91.
Does not switch automatically to new tab in Thunderbird 102.

Works great for viewing inline images that are too large! Love it! Only wished that it switched to the new tab automatically.

EDIT: It automatically switches to new tab on one computer, but not on another??
