I assume that this feature was an oversight from the main developers!

I do not even notice that i use this extension on a daily basis.
We'll need it in TB3!

The kind of module, you wonder why it does not come with thunderbird from the start....

Duplicate Contact Manager

I use it on a weekly basis and i feel the module could already be version 1.0, considering that i've not seen it crash for years. This module definitely helps dealing with contacts management, which is greatly impaired in thunderbird since it's not possible to have 2 contact windows open simultaneously.

It should now focus toward duplicate identification and also *merge* :
+add a possibility to edit a set of 2 entries without removing one of them.
+single button copy of one field from contact 2 to contact one (or the contrary)
