Your Add-on is a good idea. But I have always to authenticate me again.
Why does it work with Cardbook and not with this Add-on?

The situation is different because Cardbook has hardcoded its own Google project credentials in the source code, while I do not; please see https://github.com/zanonmark/Google-4-TbSync/issues/36.

Anyway, I'm not being asked the credentials every time, while this is happening to some users, and it's not clear why; please see https://github.com/zanonmark/Google-4-TbSync/issues/58.

In the end, I don't think my add-on should be blamed for both Google not-so-clear terms and inconsistent behaviour.
