Thank-you for all your time and effort creating the "Inline Image Resizer" add-on! It is MUCH appreciated.

It works well and is easy to use.

Resizing photos before adding them to an email is not easy for most people, so Apple's built-in image resizing functionality is a very useful but under-appreciated feature in Apple Mail for Mac/iPhone/iPad.

Its frustrating that developers of third-party email client software rarely provide ANY photo resizing assistance whatsoever. Its like they don't have friends or elderly family members who want to share photos via email.

Microsoft's Outlook for Mac/Windows includes embedded image resizing functionality that is so poorly implemented and frustrating to use - like all Microsoft software - that it looks like it was just a quick addition so that the marketing department could cross it off their feature-list.

ThunderBird has proven to be a reliable and capable email client. Thankfully it has add-on functionality so that skilled and kind developers like yourself can add such useful functionality.

Thank-you very much!

I read other reviewers. Its amazing the lack of common sense. Like saying, I see there is another extension that resizes image attachments. Why can't they be combined. Um, hello! These are independent developers who write and provide these free of charge. Be thankful you even get the option. You want something like that, how about paying for it. And just be appreciative for what you get for free! Thank you to the developer for this awesome extension. Makes adding screenshots very easy!

After the wonderful but now unusable Image Resizer, this is a worthy successor! Thank you for that. I'm just wondering why it's limited to inline images, even though there's an add-on that can only handle attachments? A combination would be brilliant!
btw, it's this one: https://addons.thunderbird.net/de/thunderbird/addon/thunderbird-image-compressor

This addon is welcome, but it doesn't work on attachments (not inline images). There was a prior image re-sizer addon that prompted for re-sizing when large images were attached (or offered on attachment submenu). Really miss this functionality!

Thank you very much for your rating and feedback! Unfortunately when it comes to file handling and attachments, the new AddOn possibilities with the changed manifest is very limited and restricted (for security reasons). I guess that's the reason why a lot of AddOns like the one you mentioned are no longer available in newer versions of Thunderbird or provide a lot less functionality. With the inline images you could at least work in the context of the edit-window, which is allowed, but accessing files on your computer (attached ones) or even changing them ... no chance as far as I see. (If I'm not mistaken you can't even run any scripting at all within the attachment container anymore, just changing the design with a theme). But I'm keeping an eye on this!
