I read somewhere that this addon is not being developed further. This addon locks up ("not responding") the Firefox browser on my PC when I try to go to the parent folder from the context menu. I have to restart the browser in many cases in order to unlock it.

Thanks for this addon! It works fine in Firefox 13.0.1. By the way, Mozilla.org, this is really dumb: "Please do not post bug reports in reviews. We do not make your email address available to add-on developers." People are not going to create dozens of registrations for all the addons they use in order to make bug reports. So allow us reviewers to choose to make our email address available privately to developers.

The latest 3.5 beta versions of Firefox sort the contents of a bookmark folder instantly. With the sort-by-name command in the right-click menu. One right-clicks the PARENT folder to do this.

But one needs this SortPlaces addon if one does not want to manually sort the contents of hundreds or thousands of folders. SortPlaces will do that with one click. And it only takes a few seconds even with huge numbers of bookmarks.

Beta Firefox 3.5x also launches instantly from the quick launch button even when loaded up with a huge number of bookmarks. My backup .html bookmarks file is almost 7 megabytes.

So the main bookmark slowness problems have been solved.
