Would be perfect if it there were support for dark mode or compatibility with addons such as Dark Reader.

Please add Dark Mode or "Dark Reader" add-on compatibility...

Great add-on, thank you!

Hello. Please add the option to display the message in dark mode.

The conversation view looks great. It's a pity that when Dark Reader is also installed, Dark Reader doesn't work and the emails remain in the original theme.

The author is aware of this issue and there is a GitHub bug open since 2021 (https://github.com/thunderbird-conversations/thunderbird-conversations/issues/1609). But it seems that the bug is created by Thunderbird and not this extension. So it may still take longer to happen.

Overall, an essential plugin. However, it seems to conflict with the Auto Profile Pictures / Auto Avatars plugins, causing conversation views to show up as blank white pages. It would be really great if both extensions could work together!

This review is for a previous version of the add-on (4.2.2).

I can't reproduce the blank white pages, everything works fine here. Please report at https://github.com/thunderbird-conversations/thunderbird-conversations/issues if you are still having issues.

There are issues in the thread pane where the icons go away when a conversations message is selected, however that appears to be an issue with Auto Profile Pictures itself.

Just awesome. Some paid mail clients do not have such a killer feature !

Hi like the conversation add on but it would be even better if you made it compatible to Cardbook.

This review is for a previous version of the add-on (4.2.1).

Conversations uses Thunderbird's standard APIs to interact with the address book.

Unfortunately, despite a few suggestions and discussions, the Cardbook author refuses to make their add-on compatible with those APIs. This breaks their integration with various other add-ons, not just Conversations.

Whilst Conversations itself is not perfect in the support of add-ons due to the way it changes the message pane, it is doing its best to support the standard APIs.

I'd rather spend time on making Conversations better support those standard APIs, rather than having to write and support custom code specifically for Cardbook.

If Cardbook wants to do its own thing, then it needs to find a way support Thunderbird's standard APIs.

So please report this to the Cardbook author, as far as I'm concerned, making it compatible is Cardbook's responsibility.

I have always wanted to have this functionality and now I do thanks to your addon. Having the "Gmail" style view in Thunderbird now makes it the perfect email client.

Functionality is amazing, much needed feature for Thunderbird; just one problem. This add-on is incompatible with dark mode add-ons, so I suggest a dark mode toggle is added to it.

I love this addon.
I think some time ago when clicking on the attachment icon, it will go to the attachment list immediately. But now it roll up the whole email.
Is it possible to have the attachment list on top of the email window (I think the old version had this) or jump to the attachment by clicking on the icon?
Thanks.

Non funziona con la casella di mail PEC. Impedisce di visualizzare gli allegati.

Don't work with Thunderbird dark mode. Discussion on Github suggests that author refuses to see that as an issue

This review is for a previous version of the add-on (4.1.7).

This review is incorrect and does not represent the discussions on Github.

I, the author, do recognise that this is an important issue for some proportion of people. However, as I have already mentioned on Github multiple times, I do not have much spare time to work on the add-on.

The time I do work on it, is generally on maintenance and doing the best I can to keep the add-on functioning.

Working on additional features such as dark mode support is potentially possible, but then I'll probably end being a year or so behind supporting the latest Thunderbird, e.g. I've still not got support for signed/encrypted emails working again in 115.

Overall very good! But I would like to see an option to put most recent message on the top.

Too bad I only know this addon now. I wish there were a few customizing options for sorting etc., as I prefer to sort from newest to oldest mail.

Is there any way to move the attachment list to the top of the message body?

Nice, but needs the ability to remove or disconnect attachments from a message. This is possible without the Conversations extension, and should also be possible with Conversations.

(On my system (Linux Mint LDME 6) clicking or right-clicking on the three dots next to the attachment does not give the option of removing or disconnecting the attachment)

This review is for a previous version of the add-on (4.1.6).

It is already possible to remove/disconnect attachments from a message. You can use the three dot menu next to the attachment display to do this (beside the download and open icons)
