It was a very helpful add-on since Thunderbird 68.3.0 released.

I use the "Tags" field for more cryptic titles for URLs.
Identifying a website by its domain name is sometimes very difficult and often impossible.
I find it easier to scan down a list of (sorted) cryptic tags to locate websites.
Probably not what tags with metadata were intended for ;)
Has worked perfectly with Palemoon for several years, including latest v26.4.1.
Thank you Daniel for this (and several of your other) addons :)

It is very good!

Very useful for those who manage many different accounts in the same websites.
Strong Point:
The ability to attach lengthy metadata text in passwords and password protect them.
Weak Point:
Notwithstanding that the "Fill by Password Tags" context menu item shows up in the majority of typical login forms there are cases where it doesn't show up even though the default username/password filling of Firefox works smoothly with them.
Suggestions for Further Improvement:
Fix the issue of "Fill by Password Tags" in all cases of login forms

UPDATE:
After developer's reply I submitted him a case where the "Fill by Password Tags" don't work. He found the reason for not working and he is going to fix it in the next release soon. This puts another 'plus' for this highly recommended add-on
Thanks for your review. In order to fix the bug you're describing, it would definitely help if you could provide examples of forms where the filling command doesn't show up. Bug reports cannot be accepted here, so please file one at https://github.com/ddawson/Password-Tags/issues (GitHub account required), or email me at the address listed on this add-on's main listing page, and provide the details therein. Thanks.

Incredibly versatile extension that allows you to add tags to your various account in the password manager providing the ability to sort and more quickly find what you are looking for if you list of passwords is long. Others have specified alternative uses such as password hints that further show the wide range of uses it has. Another extension on my list of must install. Be sure to check out the Saved Password extension. With both of these installed, managing your passwords has become... well, manageable.

A nice supplement to the Saved Password Editor addon. I like that it wasn't tacked on to SPE; addons work better when they don't grow like cancers.
I used this to keep the forgot-my-password hints. Not exactly tags but it works for me.
