It doesn't work for me either - and I can't use Outlook as an internediary as I can't get Thunderbird to import Outlook 2000. Why are things so complicated?

For TBird 3.x.x: Install Nightly Tester Tools add-on, then head over to the developer's page at http://www.kaarposoft.dk/noksync/ to get the latest 1.0.50 version of NokSync and add it to your TB.
I'm not responsible if something goes wrong. This method works just fine for me.

I just bought the Nokia E72 and downloaded the Ovi Suite. This suite enabled synchronization of contact with
Microsoft Outlook
Windows Contacts
Mozilla Thunderbird
So it is now possible!

Unfortunately I don't think that this is ever going to be got to work properly until Nokia can be convinced it is a good idea to support Thunderbird with PC suite. I have just had to buy Outlook 2007 for my new computer to address this problem, and it grieved me greatly! Perhaps everyone should email Nokia. Stuart

Redingo, I understand your issue with wanting to replace outlook. I have found a way to work around this issue, but it does still require outlook, and is more complicated than it should be... but it works. Get the Nokia PC Suite from http://www.nokiausa.com/get-support-and-software/software/nokia-suites-for-your-pc
Get gSyncit (for $15) from http://www.daveswebsite.com/
Get Provider for Google Calendar add-on from https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/sunbird/addon/4631
Get Zindus add-on from
http://www.zindus.com/
After ALL THAT, you have your phone synced with Outlook, which is synced with Thunderbird.
Of course, all this is assuming that you have the Lightning add-on... :)

Good Add-on, but there should be a link where to download the old version of nokia pc suite which is needed.

Nice try...
I'm really desperate for a solution to sync Thunderbird with my phone and replace MS Outlook.
Unfortunately this plug-in couldn't connect to my E51 and it only syncs adresses.
- Not calendar entries.
So I'll be waiting for the next version....

Please, will there be any update to get it work with newer Nokia PC Suite versions? Thanks a lot! Now it is useless, unfortunately :-(

I am using Thunderbird 2.0.0.19 and PC Suite 6.84.10.3 on XP and it seem to be working perfectly!
The only problem I have with it is that the calendar can't be synched. Such a shame - hopefully this is coming in the next round of releases!
