Use the Firefox search bar to search Google UK with "the web" selected. This performs a worldwide Google UK search which generally returns the best results. This search plugin also provides suggested search queries from Google Suggest.

One of the reviewers pointed out there is no privacy policy for this addon. All the searches made using this addon are sent diectly to Google so the author never has an opportunity to capture the data (and even if we did, we wouldn't). So relax and search with impunity :-)
