Reviews for Focus Regainer Lite

Whether this add-on works with your flash pages or not, highly depends on the wmode needed to operate that flash, because the add-on changes the wmode and thus renders some significant number of pages unusable while the add-on is enabled (they either don't load at all or they're missing parts or become unresponsive).
There's no risk involved with this - just be prepared that it may not have the same results on every flash page.
There's also not much the add-on can do about that.

This add-on has been working mostly as expected for me. The one notable exception is that I cannot break out of YouTube live streams. Regular YouTube focus breaks as expected. I am using Firefox 45.4.0 on CentOS 7 Linux. Completely unrelated, but I'll note that Twitch TV focus also breaks just fine.

(I have updated my review after it took a few months to fix the recent add-on breaking bug.) This add-on is very useful to use with Flash, specifically I use it with YouTube. It is great to be able to ctrl-tab or ctrl-w without any issues! The developer suggested using HTML5, but currently the Flash player offers more resolutions because Firefox doesn't fully support MSE.
The add-on is already simple and straightforward, but I think making this restartless would be a good improvement.
If I make the addon restartless, then it will not work for already loaded pages with flash. I don't want to reload every page after restartless installation.
P.S.: Sorry, I was busy, and with my Firefox ESR 31 old version of addon still works fine.
P.P.S: You don't need my addon if you use Youtube. Just select html5 player here: https://www.youtube.com/html5 .

I use Firefox 36.0, I use the non-lite version, and I can confirm that with the change (adding bindToUntrustedContent="true" in the xml file inside the XPI file), every thing works fine now, thanks!
This review is for a previous version of the add-on (0.4.1-signed).fixed in version 0.7

Well done:
bindToUntrustedContent="true" to the [binding] element in the chrome/content/focusregainer.xml file inside the XPI.

Firefox 34 is more careful with how XBL bindings are applied to untrusted content (see Bug 1050049 in Bugzilla). The way to make this add-on work again is actually pretty straightforward: add an attribute: bindToUntrustedContent="true" to the [binding] element in the chrome/content/focusregainer.xml file inside the XPI.
I don't use the non-lite version of the add-on, but probably the fix will be the same there.
