This is a great tool, if you want to freeze Thunderbird regularly and explode your address book! (Experience after several weeks)
Unfortunately even sync of partial changes doesn't work!

Google Contacts 0.6.40.is extremely buggy and unstable!
Contacts getting continuously duplicated, which floods the address book with thousands of duplicate entries and makes Thunderbird not responding.

gContactSync is much more stable, but it maps some fields not in a standard way, which makes problems in cross-device synchronization.

Still looking for a working synchronization addon.
