Here is a modified version, which works fine with FF 3.0.1:
http://rapidshare.com/files/130742319/auto_copy-0.8-fx-FF3.0.1-mod.xpi.html
Just download, and drag to a Firefow window, then press install.

Couldn't get 7zip to work but opened the xpi by renaming the extension to zip, made the change to the install file and saved it back, then copied the zip back to xpi.
Didn't work dragging to the add-ons window but did when dragged to a Firefox page.
Thank goodness -- this is perhaps my most used extension!

it works (although i used winrar instead of 7zip). but you have to update the addon BEFORE the firefox update!

to make this work in latest version (3.0.1) do this.
install 7zip (http://www.7-zip.org/download.html)
right click the "Add to Firefox" green button and "Save Link As" to download to your desktop
now open the auto_copy-0.8-fx .xpi with 7zip.
once 7zip window is open with contents of xpi file, click and drag out the "install.rdf" file and put it on your desktop. now open the "install.rdf" with notepad and search for "3.0" so you can change it to "3.0.1"
after you save the changes, move the "install.rdf" file back into the 7zip window and overwrite.
now open the .xpi file with firefox and restart. should be working since it does for me.

I love this add-on but the Firefox team just keeps on killing it with each update.
What was that offshore site that provided the working version for 3.0?

Can anyone tell me how to get it working with 3.1 FF? I did have 0.8 working with FF 3 using the other link and downloaded it and opened the file that way.

I have FF 3.0, but when i try to add the 'add-on' (0.8) it keeps saying that it's incompatible with FF3.0!?!?!
I've used the add-on with previous versions of FF and liked it very much. It's frustrating not to be able to get it working on my system!

It works great and does what its supposed to. But 0.8 doesn't work in FF3. You have to get the 0.9.1 beta.
