This add-on now works with V128!
Still one of the best add-ons for Thunderbird!

I love the add-on. At the moment it doesn't work quite as well. Hopefully you can get it working properly again.

Update: I am about to finally uninstall this now pretty much useless extension. So many things do not work right that I no longer bother to use it, and I just view attachments via the native apps. Less hassle.
After 115 this extension does not work like it used to. As others have stated there are issues with displaying certain documents. There are many other issues as well such as it only displays one attachment of multiple attachments, with no way to view the others except by native apps. I wish they would be fixed instead of ignored.
Instead of adding useless features like playing mp3s, please fix the bugs. I would donate to this ... but it has to work right first.

This is a brilliant add on that has been sidelined by 115. I have reverted to 102 to keep using it and have contributed in the past with my old account.
I will happily contribute again once it works in 115.

It doesn't work on 115.4.1 (64-bit), Ubuntu 22.04. I click the Img-View button and nothing happens, apart from a small window with "Image Viewer: Loading Images..." written that disappears almost immediately.

The icon to launch the viewer does not work reliably, especially on PDF files and Office files (the only reason I have this add-on installed). The button will not be active if certain common characters (such as dashes) are in the attachment filename. It is now so unreliable that one tends to avoid using it.
The Zoom-Out button does not work unless one has first zoomed in, and then only zooms out to the original size, which is pretty much useless. Also the toolbar icon is completely invisible on most dark themes, and barely visible on the rest.
These issues exist on Windows 10 and 11 across multiple machines. My son says the same problems exists on Xubuntu. I wish I could say the 115 version was worth the wait, but it isn't.
The add-on now nags for a donation after every TB update.
Now we wait 6 (or more) months for a fix again, and all while being nagged to donate... Do better or stop nagging.

...ein hervorragendes, für mich unverzichtbares Tool und es wäre schön, wenn hier ein Update für die neueste Thunderbird-Version erfolgt !

Invaluable plugin for reading emails with pictures..
I'm holding back on upgrading Thunderbird because I need this plugin.

Lovely addon that displays many attachments in a small dialog or large window depending on whether you click on the attachment or a button at the top of the eMail. Does what it claims. Thank you.

Bonjour,

Excellent addon. An improvement would be if one click the attachment and have it open with the default app.
Or am I missing that?
What you request is actually the default action which TB offers if you click the filename in the attachment list.
The idea of this addon is to give a quick overview of the document, without having to wait for the default app to open (nor having to close the default app afterwards).

Great plugin, but not exactly that what I´m looking for.
Maybe a suggestion for the next version:
I´m looking for a addon that shows the pics I attatched in an mail as thumbnail, so I can check it easily before I will send it away... Thunderbird only shows the normal icon instead of a thumbnail in the attach section below the mail during the writing process...
Maybe you have a solution... ;)
I wrote in this way, because there it no other way to contact you...

There is no popup nor drop-down that I can find nor button nor way to activate, I haven't heard back from the developer, so I will give them the benefit of the doubt and assume that there's just something preventing the add-on to work with my software.

Finally, a replacement for the long missed Slideshow addon. Works great.
Kudos to the author.
Update: Img-view won't show if only 1 JPG, works great for multiples.

Probably the first addon which permits to easily view attached images. Thank you very much!
