Great addon..ma unfortunately does not work anymore with thunderbird 60. I hope the developer will soon solve the problem ... with the new Photon GUI. Thank you

Wonderful addon! Thanks a lot!
Only in version 0.0.8 the small icon is missing.
And I would really really wish for it to have the scroll wheel functionality like the firefox version. It would be just great, if you could implement that too. ;-)

Excellent tool but the author has not updated it for TBird..
I've tested the version (0.0.8) that's available on this site in the latest Thunderbird (31.7.0) and it is installing and functioning as it should. I installed it through the Add-ons Manager (after searching for Zoom), and by manually installing it and experienced no problems or issues.
This version was also tested in Earlybird and Daily (41.0a1) and it worked in those too.
I'm also a user myself.
Please provide detailed information on the issue(s) that you have.
Thanks.

アイコンを左クリックする度に「拡大」し、右クリックで「縮小」します。
「Middle click」 or 「Shift+ click」 to reset zoom。
なおThunderbird の終了でもズームはリセットされます。
default 定義された使い方で、カスタマイズは不可ですが、十分です。
「決定版」として、推奨します。

TB 24.6.0, ubuntu 14.04. Just install this stuff, and it works fine for me.
And now, the ony thing I don't understand - why I haven't done this before, because it is a necessity, as i'm using full HD TV, as a monitor.
Probably, one of the best supplements around Linux.
Thank you very very much!!!

I'm running TB 24.0.1 on a Win7 system, and just installed the "Zoom Button for Thunderbird". Unfortunately, it does not appear to be compatible -- although it shows "Enabled" on the TB Add-ons page.
I have no new icons except for the zoom button in the lower right corner of the status bar, which disappears when I open an email message (which is where I need it). There are no icons in the toolbars, nor are there any on the "Toolbar --> Customization" page.
Any suggestions on how to get this to work would be appreciated.
Thanks.
Hi,
Will you please send me a screen shot of the Customize Toolbar window and a list of any other add-ons that you may have installed.
There should be a blue "Zoom" button visible in the Customize Toolbar window as seen in the 5th screen shot on this add-on's page.
The same goes for the Compose window (different colored button).
Right click on a toolbar > Customize > drag the "Zoom" button to a toolbar.
I'm using the add-on myself in Thunderbird 24.0.1 on Windows 7, and in Thunderbird Daily and Earlybird.
To send me a screen shot, and for further assistance, click on the "Support E-mail" link in the right hand column at https://addons.mozilla.org/thunderbird/addon/zoom-button-for-thunderbird/
Thanks

Zoom Button does exactly what it is supposed to do, quite well. But I could already do that by holding CTRL and rolling the mouse scroll wheel. The problem is that I have to do this every time I start Thunderbird since I am using a 1080p TV as a monitor. TB comes up only using about a third of the screen. And since I use a Kensington ball instead of a mouse it is more difficult. The Kensington ball is great, It's scroll is not so great. PLEASE add a default zoom setting so that folks with HD screens can be happy and give Zoom Button five stars.
This review is for a previous version of the add-on (0.0.6).Rated 5 out of 5 stars
I've been using Montezooma, which is fine, except that it appears only on the Status Bar, where it is inconvenient and miniscule.
I've tried everything I can think of to display my messages in a consistent and readable size. Until TB can do that, your Add-On is my lifesaver.
Thank you for the kind words, review, and rating.
If you use the Stylish add-on, you could add the following CSS as a userstyle. I use it myself along with Theme Font & Size Changer.
html * {
font-size: 24px !important
}
You can of course change the font-size value.
You could also add that code to a userChrome.css file.

hurdingkatz may have had the same issue I did.
I found this extension by searching "image zoom".
I was unaware that Thunderbird's default Zoom setting is "Text Only". Once I unselected that, images zoom as well.
However, the icon isn't available if you open messages in a new window. It's fine in New Tab or if using the Message Pane Layout, neither of which fit my use.
I'm specifically looking for an extension like "Image Zoom" where I can simply right click an image and pick a zoom level without zooming the text.
Other than that, this extension works fine!
Thanks for the rating.
I would really like for this to work for you.
Zoom Button simply provides one click access to Thunderbird's default zoom feature including full page zoom, and text zoom.
It does not specifically zoom images, it zooms all content in a message. If there is an image in the message, then it should also increase in size when you zoom in.
Please be sure that you do not have Thunderbird's Zoom setting set to "Zoom Text Only" or images will not be zoomed.
View (menu) > Zoom
The screenshots at the following address shows an image zoomed in a message loaded in a tab.

If you still have problems, please let me know what O.S. you're using.
Thanks

Works just fine here with TB 12.0
One of those functions which could be a default feature, so handy. One button with left-middle-right click moreover is smart !
I sincerely appreciate the review and rating.

Nice button. That's about it. Nice button.
Doesn't do anything. No zoom with this add-on.
Will you please tell me what operating system that you're using and what version of Thunderbird?
This add-on has been available on this site since February 28, 2012 and this is the first time that I've heard that it doesn't work. I use it myself.
It accesses and triggers Thunderbird's default zoom feature and that's about all there is to it.
