My Reviews
MinimizeToTray revived
Rated 5 out of 5 stars
I looked around but could not find any contact mechanism (and I don't criticize that - I know that questions can quickly overwhelm one's incoming mail and become unmanageable). I'm a big fan of Nils' and think his work is some of the most useful and productivity-enhancing of any add-on developer. BTW - folks that find this useful, or perhaps "DownThemAll" - one of the coolest add-ons EVER - really _should_ show appreciation with a contribution/donation. DTA is perhaps the most killer add-on ever, imho. That said -
I wanted to alert Nils that the homepage for this add-on (https://tn123.org/mintrayr/) shows version 1.0 as current, and that's the latest available there. Since the homepage is linked to from the add-on's "more info" at the browser, it probably should have the current version. I can imagine that maintaining an extra page (home) for each add-on is a pain, and wonder if these at addons.mozilla.org should just serve that purpose. I imagine there's valid arguments against that though. Anyway - thought it was worth mentioning, and again - could not locate a contact link, or a comment-link on the homepage itself. Nils, I'm a fan - not intending to hand you more work ;-)
Zotero
Rated 5 out of 5 stars
Zotero may be an "Add-On", but it seems like a redefinition of the word. "A full-featured application with tight-integration with your browser" is how I'd describe it. Very easy to use. You're up an running in moments, with mouse-over help (tool-tips), easy access to documentation if you need it; store gathered material/data locally (on your computer) and options to store on zotero's servers and "sync" so you can use any computer (laptop, office, etc..) AND collaborate/share with others .. add RTF, PDF, Word processor integration and a lot more. It's way more than any plugin I've seen or used. Hands down BEST "add-on", and a rival for any standalone app.
This review is for a previous version of the add-on (3.0.3).London Panorama
