My Reviews

Forecastfox Weather

Rated 5 out of 5 stars

Like many others I suffer form the compatibility problem with Firefox nightly 15.0a1. It worked in 15.0a1 with many daily updates until the update of the 10th of May. Now whatever I try I don't get it back working. Please try to repair this, I need my favorite plug-in :)

Memory Fox

Rated 5 out of 5 stars

1: Many compliments for such an excellent efficient plugin! With older versions I had stability issues (which is normal with newly developed software) but the last one seems to do very well, keeping the memory used by Firefox down to about 100MB instead of 700MB (System: Win7 64bit, Firefox 3.6.8, Memory Fox 3.3).

2: Hitman Pro rates afom.exe as riskware. Could you please give a comment on this, since I understand that the nature of this plug-in could be falsely identified by malware detection programs, but I'm not experienced enough to fully judge this.

3: I agree with fushigi-kun, the options could be clearer, explaining more in non-computer expert language why and when you should use a certain option.

4: Unfortunately there are some people that think that submitting a review is a "cart blanche" to attack someone who's trying to develop something useful for the rest of the world, free of charge! Please try to be constructive if you think you've problems with a plug-in and give positive or negative feedback without strong emotions.

5: gozer gatekeeper: even if you think that there something wrong with the way this plug-in is written, shouldn't it be normal to just point at that and ask friendly if your finding is correct, give some options and wait for feedback from the developer? If you know that this plug-in resolves a common serious issue related to Firefox and is appreciated by many people, shouldn't it at least deserve a chance to prove itself and to wait for answers form the developer instead of just immediately ordering to ban it?
