Hide Email Folders
Rated 5 out of 5 stars
This is a great and criminally underrated addon for people who want a slicker Thunderbird look and have many email accounts. Compact View in TB still shows individual accounts so that you don't miss directories individual to each account, but this pretty much defies the Compact View objective, and the UI remains cluttered. With this extension instead you only have the main folders (Inbox, sent items, ecc.) and finally TB looks great and clean. Instructions are not clear enough IMO though so I had to take a look at the source code to really understand how this works, but this is the gist: you must be in Compact View AND all of your email accounts NAMES must have a '@' somewhere, like "User @ Yahoo". In this way they are hidden. If for some reason the addon stops working correctly after a TB upgrade (for instance hiding everything), just reinstall the latest version.
This review is for a previous version of the add-on (3.0.0).To create your own collections, you must have a Mozilla Add-ons account.
