ISSUE: updating from 0.2.8 to 0.3.1, notification icon shows new mails, but doesn't go back to 0 when i read them.
Also, "write new message" doesn't work anymore.

debian GNU/Linux, kernel 2.6.32-5-686-bigmem
Icedove 3.1.1 (thunderbird fork)
Gnome 2.30.2
