Nella Posta in Uscita avrebbe trovato alcuni duplicati. Strano, io non invio più di una volta la stesa email! Purtroppo non è possibile accedere a quali duplicati avrebbe trovato. Può solo cercare e eliminare. Molto limitato!
Nella posta ricevuta vedo più di una stessa email identica, ma mi conferma che non ci stono duplicati. Molto impreciso!
Non c'è di meglio? Sarebbe facile averne uno che funzioni! Lo devo creare io con l'AI???

Ne fonctionne pas du tout !
Aucune possibilité de savoir sur quels critères il se base, donc on ne peut pas les changer.µ
Deux e-mails envoyés par la même personne à la même personne, le même jour à l a même heure avec le même sujet ne sont pas considérés comme des doublons !!!
Le précédent était parfait, ne se trompait jamais, permettait des options pour choisir ce qu'on considère comme doublon, etc.
Pourquoi réinventer, mal, quelque chose qui existe déjà ? La beauté du logiciel libre est d'être ouvert, tout le monde peut voir le précédent plugin et prendre ses références.
Quelle déception (et en plus d'où viennent toutes ces étoiles non méritées ???).

Quand je dis "avant" ce n'est , en effet, pas le même programmeur qui l'a fait.

I did not create any previous addons.

The only criteria is the headerMessageId and body length. I'm working on some changes to make it so you can just use the messageID if you want to.

Sorry, it doesn't work. I have clearly duplicate mail and it says I have none. That was in a single folder.

I've found that Thunderbird can add headers to emails when receiving them and that when that happens, the emails are no longer total duplicates. I'm not sure that I can get around this very easily while also ensuring that we are safely removing duplicates. More to come on that front.

Does not seem to descend into subfolders. Also, could not get a preview of what was to be deleted (or control duplicate triggers). Could not figure out what console to look at (popup window directing me to console). Thunderbird console (under developer tools) didn't seem to have any information about deletions.

Yes, that's correct that it does NOT decend into subfolders. Nor do you have control over defining what is a duplicate. I'm not that great of a developer. I think I want to change the notification system to use a webpage instead of the windows notification panel. That would potentially allow me to show the emails that would actually get deleted or were deleted.

Where is the "Check for duplicates" command? I installed the module and activated it and restarted Thunderbird. No button, no item in the menus.

If you go to the addons manager in the Extensions blade, does the addon have the toggle button enabled? If its enabled, the command should be in the menu when you right click one of your mail folders.

Are you sure that you installed it? When you view your TB extensions, does it state that this addon is installed and enabled?

I was really disappointed with this addon. Personally I don't get many duplicate emails but I get loads of duplicate RSS feeds. The old duplicate remover worked with both of them and let you choose many criteria.

Sadly that one does not work with the latest versions of TB. If this one is not going to remove all duplicates it really needs to be renamed.

I think you're thinking of an entirely different addon. This tool is not a fuzzy search. It does not have a UI. It is not built as a 1:1 feature replacement for any old tools. It only removes duplicates in the strictest and most conservative way possible to prevent accidental data loss.
