CloseReviews for ImportExportTools NG by Al NN4ZZ
Rated 5 out of 5 stars
I'm looking for ImportExportTools NG users that are using the AUTOMATED BACKLUP feature and in particular users that have selected the INCREMNENAL backup feature.
Background: I've been using the automated FULL backup feature for a while and it works well but I'd like to find some users of the INCREMENTAL feature.
You can reply here or on the Groups.io forum. Here is a link:

I just recently started using this add-on. I used the OPTION setting to schedule a full and automated backup ( i.e. SAVE: Always all files) and it looks like it worked fine. So I have a full backup of the profile.
I couldn't find a description of how the various settings for the backup work, so have some questions.
Question 1: I would like to get a better understanding of the SAVE option for "just files modified after the last backup." What are the files named and how are they related? I have the "automatic folder name + date" feature set.
Question 2: how would I use these backup files to restore the data in the even of a crash or corrupted profile?
Question 3: What is the "modal" window option?
Question 4: Is there a manual with more details on the various backup options and how to use them in restoring data?
Note: I'll give a higher review than 3 stars once if I can get a better understanding of the features and can further evaluate how it is working.
Note: at first glance this looks like a good and unique tool. Once I get comfortable that it works for me, I'll be making a donation.

thanks for the review. yes there was never help and documentation trying to improve that.
I would be happy to help with the questions if you can post in the repository where we can discuss.
