GNOME keyring password integration
Rated 1 out of 5 stars
A vital security feature that really should be incorporated directly into Linux/Gnome builds of Firefox. Sorely needing since development of Mozilla-Gnome-Keyring (xul-ext-gnome-keyring) seems to have stalled.
Alas, this version (v0.1) of the extension seems to crash Firefox 21, Thunderbird 17 and 20b. Otherwise I'd have given it a 4/5. It's early days though, so I'll keep it installed (but disabled) and test periodically.
Thanks for taking the time to develop this. :-)
Suspend background tabs
Rated 4 out of 5 stars
This add-on is a godsend, especially for those of us who rely on TabMix plus (which presently doesn't sport an equivalent to Mozilla Firefox's native tabs on demand feature within it's own otherwise superior session manager). It definitely seems to have improved performance and reduced the usual slow down from having a tab hefty session open for hours on end.
I'm not entirely clear on what this add-on does though. Does it 'retire' tabs a'la Dormancy (https://addons.mozilla.org/en-us/firefox/addon/dormancy/) or does it simply prevent things like javascript executing on background tabs. Either way, it works and a cooperation with the developer of Dormancy to produce an all-in-one multi-tab performance boost would be very much appreciated (perhaps with an aim to submitted for inclusion in Firefox proper; she needs better tab management presto!).
AddressBookTab
Rated 5 out of 5 stars
An excellent little add-on that makes the address book behave as one would expect of a tabbed Thunderbird (this should be the default behaviour).
It would be even better if it used the default address book icon and/or placed the button in the mode toolbar (alongside the calendar and tasks buttons added by lightning).
One note. I have identified a minor incompatibility (more of a quirk really) between this add-on and the hide menubar add-on. Hovering over the main window menubar brings up a menubar for both the main window and the address book tab (it looks a little odd, although it could be useful).
AddressBook In Mode ToolBar
Rated 4 out of 5 stars
Any chance of this being updated for Thunderbird v5.0 and perhaps having the address book open in its own tab (rather than a separate window; massive oversight on the part of the Thunderbird developers that!).
Display Contact Photo
Rated 5 out of 5 stars
This is an excellent add-ons. It would be even better if it were possible to display the PhotoID attached to many PGP keys. I don't even know whether such is possible, but I'm sure the OpenPGP crowd would appreciate it.
Unsubscribe from Mailing List
Rated 2 out of 5 stars
Nice idea, poorly implemented. The unsubscribe header entry does not appear at the bottom of the header but rather besides the toolbar pane!
Might I suggest the inclusion of a reading pane toolbar button.
Stylish - Custom themes for any website
Rated 2 out of 5 stars
The online repository of userstyles is extremely useful. The add-on however is not worth the overhead, however little it may be; It's just as easy to cut and paste CSS userstyles into userChrome.css.
This review is for a previous version of the add-on (0.5.9).To create your own collections, you must have a Mozilla Add-ons account.
