My Reviews
Download YouTube Videos as MP4
Rated 5 out of 5 stars
I'd been using "Flash Video Downloader" to DL YouTube vids for a year or so, but it stopped working, even after making sure it was current. I tried many times, all their various extensions, but each DL was *empty*.
Uninstalled, then installed this addon, is actually DL'ing a YouTube vid - properly! - as I'm writing this review. And it's not as complicated as "Flash Video Downloader" either. Thank you!
Provider for Google Calendar
Rated 5 out of 5 stars
Instructions on the wiki state to access "settings" via the right side of Google Calendar, but of course Google's gone and changed things around again, so I couldn't find the XML button in the main calendar settings page.
I found the XML button by clicking on the DOWN button - next to my calendar's name (in the left portion of Google calendar), then clicking on Calendar Settings. I chose the 2nd XML button, since my calendar is not public.
After re-adding a new Google calendar to TB, using the new 4th radio button, then entering my Google PW, I tested by adding an event to my Google calender *on* TB, reloaded remote calenders from TB, then reloaded my Google calendar in the browser, and my test event was there in the browser too, YAY!
Colorful Fractal
Rated 5 out of 5 stars
I like my toolbars compact, so I prefer very colorful personals like yours, thanks!
YesScript
Rated 5 out of 5 stars
IMO, this is far superior to NoScript, even before NoScript started selling out to advertisers to allow certain sites with NoScipt's default settings.
It would be nice if it had advanced settings to only block certain things globally, instead of on a per-site basis.
Element Hiding Helper for Adblock Plus
Rated 4 out of 5 stars
The upgrade didn't cause complaints about AB's EHH, but EHH no longer works.
I'll go to a frequently visited site, and see things I know were blocked before the FF upgrade. I go through AdBlock's filters, and delete all the EHH specific filters for that site, then redo the site. But even then, the elements I just blocked reappear on reload.
I'm using FF 3.0.10 w/ winXP, thanks. I rated 4 because I love this addon, but one star less b/c it's not working for me at this time.
