My Reviews
Lightning
Rated 4 out of 5 stars
"I hate to say this but on a "clean" Vista machine while this addon appears to be installed up to the "Restart" button... it doesn't in fact get installed - even when running as Administrator."
Unfortunately, this is also true on XP Pro. Everything worked fine with 0.8 but after the upgrade to 0.9 it just disappeared, and it doesn't show up after I restart TB and/or the entire computer (I see it among my extensions and I can chose to "Enable it" and restart but nothing changes...).
Since my problems started, I've tried to reinstall 0.8 but I now have exactly the same problem with this version. I then thought perhaps it had something to do with the new version of TB (2.0.0.17), so I went back to 2.0.0.16, but this didn't solve the problem either. I don't know what to do since I really love this extension (hence the four stars despite all my problems).
Does anybody have a solution?

Please, let us go back to 0.8 where events in the calendar were displayed in the mail pane! 0.9 is a downgrade!

lightning 0.8 = 5 stars
lightning 0.9 = 1 star
Why? because the events in my calendar are no longer showing in the mail pane. This is not an upgrade, this is a downgrade :(
Addressbooks Synchronizer

great idea! We need better synchronization tools!

This is a very useful extension and it works perfect for me. I'm synchronizing my addresses and my tasks on my Vista laptop and my office desktop running XP (the calendar is synchronized via gmail). I think that's a pretty common setup amongh people for this extension.
I've been using the extension for a few weeks and I've have had absolutely no problems so far. Everything seems to work. I do have two minor suggestions (at least I thik they are minor) for the future that would make this excellent extension even better:
1. make it possible to set it to sync automatically when I start and close TB. Ideally, make it possible to set it to overwrite from the Server when I start-up TB and from the local database when I close things down.
2. make it possible to have DIFFERENT sync schedules for addresses, tasks and the calendar. For example, I would like my tasks be synchronized automatically every time I open and close TB, but I don't need to sync my addresses this often and I would prefer to do it manually (since it does takes quite some time to sync the addresses).
Anyway, these are minor issues and overall this is an excellent extension. Many thanks!
