Send Later Button
Rated 1 out of 5 stars
I'm not sure I understand what this button is supposed to do. Here's why I'm saying that:
I'm running Thunderbird version 138.0.2 (64-bit) and installed both the Send Later add-on and the Send Later Button add-on. Everything appeared to work fine in my tests and I assumed the button in the upper right area of the message I was composing was THE button associated with the Send Later Button add-on.
A couple days later I was trying to send a group message and got a "User Unknown" error. It happened regardless of what outgoing mailserver I used. I could not send group messages. I couldn't find any satisfying explanation for why this was happening and definitely no fix for it. So I started doing the typical uninstall of recent additions, starting with the Send Later Button Add-On for Thunderbird. Immediately the problem went away. No idea why. But the really weird thing is that although the Add-On was disabled, I still showed a Send Later button in the upper right when composing a message. And the regular Send Later Add-on system still worked.
The description at github says:
"This addon adds a button to the toolbar of the compose window that allows you to utilize the send later functionality of Thunderbird even if you are in online mode"
But I find that to be the case whether the Add-on is enabled or disabled. So, what in fact is the Button add-on for? And regardless, beware of the group mail conflict.

To create your own collections, you must have a Mozilla Add-ons account.
