Provider for Google Calendar
Rated 5 out of 5 stars
oh.. and dont' forget to read this great article...

the only crappy part was that i had relied on iphone calendar in essentially island mode (vista mail is not detected by itunes) so when you go to sync iphone will replace all device data with the google data. And mobile me won't sync unless you have outlook installed so you end up SOL. Oh well. small price.

Awesome. Dont' know what it's doing in the back end but now I have achieved a personal holy grail that I've waited for an entire year. That's to sync iphone contacts and calendar with either the web (gmail/calendar) or a client (thunderbird/lightning) (and I've managed to do all of the above).
"Provider" was the conduit between google calendar and mozilla lightning.
Learn how to sync google calendar/contacts with iphone at http://www.google.com/mobile/apple/sync.html
and you're all set. All syncs in real time from any device, in any direction, bilateral supported.
Sick.

too bad. this is the type of app that would bridge the gap currently exists for non mobileme or other mac based sync tools.. i use a PC and thunderbird
