I love that I can type as I think and not how the computer thinks I should ask. I do not always know the correct terminology but Ask can often work out what I mean.

THIS IS A SEARCH ENGINE THAT RESPECTS YOUR PRIVACY, NO VIRUSES LOOKS JUST LIKE GOOGLE AND MY PRIVACY SOFTWARE DOES NOT BLOCK IT. RECOMMENDED IF YOU RESPECT YOUR PRIVACY, IT IS OBVIOUS THESE OTHER POSTS ARE SHILLS FROM MICROSOFT AND GOOGLE TO DISCREDIT ASK... GOOGLE/AOL/MICROSOFT YOU GUYS ARE GETTING REALLY PATHETIC.

Ask is obviously a favorite with hackers. I have been haunted by it for days and finally removed all traces.

I really really really do not like this search engine, waste of time; does not give the results I am looking for; plus I cannot uninstall it. It does not even show in my Add-ons anymore, but it is still there! ARGGHHH! I just want to go back to the original Firefox toolbar. Can you tell me how to do that? Zero stars.

It is a search provider, not an extension. Go to the search box on the top right of Firefox and select the drop down to change search provider. From the drop down you can select "Manage Search Engines..." and then remove Ask Jeeves or any other search provider.

Just what I have been looking for as a replacement for Google.
