Why not add this feature as default in Thunderbird?!! In 2025 we need to add third-party plugin to change hotkey bindings. For F11 to get all mails for all mailboxes: {"f11": "cmd:cmd_getMsgsForAuthAccounts"}

This is a great and stable plugin even if I only use it to map CMD-F to find-in-folder (i.e. cmd_showQuickFilterBar) which is in my muscle memory.
I am really happy that it now works with TB136, I was pretty lost when I switched to the release channel and tb-keys stopped working ;-)

Exactly what I needed to map the D key to delete emails.

I have long been looking for a replacement for the "Close on Escape" add-on that died long ago R.I.P. and this add-on brings back this greatly missed functionality of simply closing an opened mail with a press on the Escape button!
Thanks so much!!

Really useful. Needed some time to find the useable cmd's at <https://hg.mozilla.org/comm-central/file/tip/mail/base/content/mainCommandSet.inc.xhtml>

Potentially brilliant, but it doesn't work when reading an email unless you use tabbed emails. If you open messages in separate windows, the single key shortcuts still fire.

The key bindings has changed for the Danish version of Thunderbird. I am used to press "s" to flag a message and suddenly it has been changed to "i". Thanks to the tbkeys addon I can map it to "s" again. This addon saved my day.

Sorry, adding +shift was a mistake. Without that it works. Deinstalled it nevertheless because the addon has full control.

Reconfiguring the keybindings can have such a huge impact, especially in e-mail clients. My use case is just to have the delete keybinding assinged to d, as I use the mouse with the right hand. The solution is plain and easy enough if you can read instructions. Many thanks!

How many times did I accidentally hit "a" when I thought I was in a search field and only after a while notice that my messages were disappearing. It is such a pleasure to remove these annoying shortcuts (especially "a" for move to archive). I love this plugin!

Awesome plugin! I needed to disable all the "single key" hotkeys, since I keep hitting them accidentaly, with this plugin I did it in 2 minute. Great!

Thank you. That makes Thunderbird just a bit more comfortable.
The simple red outline which appears when one's entered something invalid is good design for people operating above their pay grade despite your warning.
For my fellow hopeful blunderers, it helps to remember a comma between lines.
Enormous thanks to Seandrake for "ctrl+w": "" (preventing accidental closing of drafts without saving). "Compose key bindings" box.
Some failures:
I haven't worked out how to change the keystroke to mark a message read/unread from m to x (mimicking Agent), but it's a triviality.
I found no way to change ctrl-V and ctrl-shift-V pasting behaviour.
I failed to get ctrl j to mark a message as junk, so removed j = Next message from the supplied shortcuts.

Another user wrote "It makes my fingers happy". I can fully agree with that.
Thank you very much for your great work dear Will!

I could not live without this add-on! Combining it with the Nostalgy++ add-on means that I control Thunderbird with most of the same keystrokes I've been using since I did my email in Pine in the 1990s. Makes my fingers very happy.

Does what it says on the box. Vital for any vim user, to replace j=junk with j=next message. j and k keys now do the expected thing.
I have also just added "/": "cmd:cmd_showQuickFilterBar", which works nicely.

Just what I needed. Though some gueswork required to work out the correct command syntax, it wasn't too hard. Here is what I desperately wanted and have added: "ctrl+q": "cmd:cmd_markAsRead" which matches Outlook's shortcut to mark a message as read. Thanks for this extension, very useful.

I love this add-on and use it with TB 102 with success.
I'm also testing the beta TB107 and with this version the installation failed because the add-on only supports TB102 (or 103?).
As a workaround I changed the "strict_max_version:" to "107.0" in the manifest.json in xpi file (which in fact is only a zip).
Saved it and works for me now, but will there be an 'official' version of tbkeys in the future?
