FermerDaynizer 0.8.3
par Precision Crab
More than Thunderbird's task list: subtasks, start dates, tags, saved views, advanced filters, shortcuts. Tasks and events on one calendar, plus contacts. Syncs with CalDAV/CardDAV and Tasks.org. Tasks free; Calendar and Contacts Pro after a trial.
À propos de ce module
Daynizer is a full task manager with a calendar and address book built in, running in its own Thunderbird tab. It syncs two ways with the CalDAV/CardDAV server you already use (Nextcloud, Synology, Radicale, Baikal and other standard servers) and uses the same formats as Tasks.org and DAVx5 on Android, so your tasks, subtasks, events and contacts match what's on your phone.
Your data stays on your server and in your Thunderbird profile. There is no Daynizer cloud, no account to create, no tracking and no analytics.
HOW IS THIS DIFFERENT FROM THUNDERBIRD'S BUILT-IN CALDAV AND CARDDAV?
Thunderbird already syncs calendars, tasks and address books. Daynizer doesn't replace that sync. It gives you a different way to work with the same data, built for people who run their day from a task list.
- Tasks that fit on the calendar. Thunderbird can overlay tasks on its calendar, but an open task is repeated on every day it's active, so a few tasks can fill the whole month and bury your events. Daynizer shows each task once: on its due date, on its start date, or as a single bar from start to due that you can stretch. Tasks are colored by list, undated tasks stay off the grid, and you can show tasks, events or both, filtered by list or tag. Drag a task to reschedule it, or right-click a day to add one there. (The Calendar tab is a Pro feature.)
- Advanced filtering and saved views. Filter by list, due date (today, this week, this month), tag, search text, completed or not, and hidden-until-start, then sort by priority, due date, title or your own drag order. Save any combination under a name and reopen it from the sidebar in one click. Thunderbird's task list offers a fixed set of filters.
- Real subtasks. Thunderbird shows tasks as one flat list. Daynizer nests subtasks under their parent, lets you collapse them, and keeps them nested on your phone in Tasks.org. Move a parent to another list and its subtasks go with it.
- Built around Tasks.org. Start dates hide a task until it's relevant, the way Tasks.org does, and subtasks, tags, priorities and recurrence round-trip to Android.
- One tab for everything. Tasks, calendar and contacts sit side by side, with a Today panel showing what's due or overdue plus today's events. Thunderbird splits these across separate Calendar, Tasks and Address Book spaces.
- Keyboard-first. N adds a task, Delete removes it, Ctrl+Z undoes the last change (delete, edit, completion, reorder), Ctrl+F searches, Ctrl+R syncs now.
- Manage the server from inside the app. Thunderbird connects to calendars and address books that already exist on your server. Daynizer can also create new task lists, calendars and address books on the server, and delete them.
- Contact cleanup. Find and merge duplicate contacts, and organize people with colored labels stored as standard vCard categories. Thunderbird has no built-in duplicate merging.
- One login for both. Enter your server details once for CalDAV and CardDAV, and Daynizer finds your calendars, task lists and address books.
It works alongside Thunderbird's own calendar and address book. Daynizer keeps its own copy and syncs with your server, so you can stay subscribed to the same collections in Thunderbird and changes made in either place reach the other through the server.
WHAT DAYNIZER DOES

- Tasks and events together: dated tasks appear next to your events, timed tasks as time blocks
- Show tasks by start date, due date, or as a start-to-due bar; drag a task to reschedule it

- Recurring events
- Calendar colors from your server; choose the first day of the week

- Colored labels and duplicate merging
Sync
- Two-way and automatic in the background, plus Sync Now any time

FREE AND PRO
Daynizer is free to install. Every new install starts with a 30-day trial of all Pro features. After the trial, the free version keeps full task management and task sync on one account. Pro unlocks the Calendar tab, the Contacts tab and syncing more than one account. Pro is a one-time purchase ($10, lifetime, up to 5 installs) through Gumroad. Nothing is ever deleted when the trial ends: calendars and contacts stay on your server and come back as soon as you activate a license.
Requires Thunderbird 140 or newer.
