Compose emails using your favorite text editor.
This add-on synchronizes the email text between the text editor and Thunderbird using the GhostText protocol, which works by connecting via WebSocket to a GhostText server installed in your text editor.
A demo screencast using Vim-Ghost:
Please visit the Original GhostText webpage (which works for browsers including Firefox) to get the idea.
As this add-on is a client, it requires a server counterpart listening in your text editor to work.

(The author has tested with VSCodium, VSCode, Vim, and Notepad via GhostText-Any so far.)
This add-on is still in beta. Editing is not bidirectional; the email text in Thunderbird will become read-only while Ghostbird is active.
