Thanks for this patch. Works with Thunderbird 3 Finale.

works with thunderbird 2.0.0.23 on Win 7 at least.

@Ron Lankshear,
download xpi file. open with Winrar. Extract install.rdf, line 14 replace "3.0b4pre" by "3.0b4", drag&drop the new install.rdf in winrar. now install the new xpi.

well, it's working with 3.0b4 if you change the maxVersion in "install.rdf" but all the inbox folders are renamed...
