Works perfectly in Thunderbird 45.1.1. All you have to do is

• open the xpi in 7-Zip
• edit (F4) install.rdf
• change <em:maxVersion>3.0.*</em:maxVersion> to <em:maxVersion>99.0.*</em:maxVersion>
• install and restart Thunderbird

Working great on TBird 45.1.1
