Show a preview of an email in a popup window while the mouse hovers over (not clicks on!) its star/email address in the table or card view. Hovering from one star to another allows to easily preview messages in a folder. Pressing o keeps window open

For version 2+:
This addon allows a quick peek into an email without need to click anywhere. It gives a fast method to look at the message content of many emails in a list.
A preview of the message content is shown while the mouse hovers over the star icon in the message list.
Moving the mouse from one star to another will always show the corresponding message in a popup window.
In the card view, hover over the emailaddress (from v 2.2.8).
If you want to keep the window open, press 'o' while hovering. You can then move the mouse into the email window for scrolling etc.
This can help to find messages, e.g. if all have the same "RE: some subject", without need to click and open the message in a tab, which then needs to be closed if it was the wrong message opened.
It is also useful to quickly identify (Newsletter and other) emails that are due to be deleted.
A small delay is applied before opening the message window. This assures that the windows are not immediately, unwantedly, opened when the mouse moves over the message list to somewhere else on the screen.
