To clarify, at least one way in which the headers are being mangled is: Message-ID keeps getting squashed to 'undefined' when it was defined prior to the change.

One bug I ran across recently is that this appears to mangle the headers (delete more than it should) when a Subject runs multiline, as they do sometimes like this:

Subject: an extra long subject that continues on
this next line

if the author could put a fix in to handle these types, that'd be great!
