Have now got extension working, although it hasn't changed how it looks for the worse (in separate window). Possible clash with other extension which auto-updated at same time, McAfee SiteAdvisor, but have been able to get the two to play nicely now.

This has stopped working with the update to 1.99.3 (Hadn't realised FF4 did add-on auto-updates by default - now switched off). Error message:
