Love this add-on. There is one page that I frequent, that was driving me crazy with lots of small ads blinking like a Christmas tree. They were all down one side & across the middle of the page. The most annoying site ever. Adblock Plus was not able to get rid of them on its own, so I installed this add-on & it did the job. Couldn't be happier. Thanks Wladimir !

Adblock Plus Element Hiding Helper is a great addition to Adblock Plus and allows you more control over blocking specific parts of pages. It's useful for viewing the source code of items too.

You don't need this when you use Adblock Plus because the latest version is capable of hiding the blocked advertisement banner by itself. Before installing the latest version of Adblock Plus, I needed the element hiding helper to hide the element with the element hiding helper but when I installed the latest version of Adblock Plus, I noticed that the blocked ad banners that I didn't hide stopped showing on the websites I've been visiting.

Thanks for this fabulour extension from you.
I get a few questions here
1. Can the author add the wildcard support please ? or it support but I do not know how to use it. I try * or ? but it do not work.
2.Are items blocked by this exntension downloaded from the website server or it is like the Adblock Plus which do not requir these items from the server because sometime I use bluetooth to connect to the cell phone wich connect to the internet through the GPRS, and it will cost a lot of network flow if these items are just hiddened, as well as a lor of money to see the Ads.

You are able to remove ads manually that adblock doesn't do automatically. I love it.

However, it needs work in being able to remove flash ads from websites. I don't know if this is either a problem with Adblock plus or the element hider.

Please add the ability to block Adobe Flash Player advertisements, these also use up our bandwidth, and without uninstalling the plug-in, there is no way of blocking them.

At first I wasn't quite sure exactly how this worked, so I'll explain it in very simple terms.

You just right-click on your Adblock Plus icon and click on the new option "Select Element To Hide" (or use the keyboard shortcut). You then get a red box that forms around different elements (very specific portions of the page) as you hover your mouse over them. You select what you never want to see again and the add-on automatically generates a new filter rule. Click on the "Add Filter Rule" button, and you make the internet a happier place =)

Simple as that!! The first thing I got rid of was the friend suggester on facebook (it's ALWAYS annoyed me!!).

This works great! I can't wait to get rid of more annoying crap!!!

Unfortunately, I'm unable to install this usefull add-on due to following error: "Not a valid install package - 207". I'm using FF 3.5. What problem it could be?
