I use it all the time now! I suggest for other frequent Gmail users to give it a try. I'm sure you'll find it very useful especially if you keep a lot of Gmail accounts and check all of them every now and then.

p.s. One question though... I'm sure others have always wanted to know this too. How secure is it? Can you or other users gain access to our gmail accounts and passwords? Thanks.

I've been using this extension for about 2 years. It is a must-have if you have more than one gmail account. very customizable.

Regarding the review entitled, "watch out":
On a new computer, I just installed it under FF 2.0.0.4 and it is working fine.

This extension works superbly for any gmail user, and expedites the process of checking email flawlessly. I highly recommend gmail manager to anyone with a gmail account.

This extension doesn't modify your Gmail options at anytime. This review is inaccurate and is probably in regards to another extension of some sort or the person just the settings on their own. I'm not sure where this person got the idea that Gmail Manager would modify your IMAP settings but that is not true. This extension provides mail updates along with snippets of new mail (and many more features) without any account modification.

A great extension if you have multiple accounts. Also one of the easiest things I've found that alerts me when I have messages automatically archived to my Labels.

Installed under Firefox 2.0.0.3. (1) Notification worked but app failed to recognize that mail had been open and read: continued to announce mail already read. (2) Appears to reset gmail status flags for announced messages from already-opened to not-opened-yet after gmail tab loses focus. (2) Appears linked to appearance of spurious empty messages from email address of sender of most recently opened message. Resolution: uninstalled this extension!

this extension is great. However, it stopped working for me about two days ago. Doesn't work on my desktop (linux), laptop (os x), or work pc (windows).

Hope it'll be updated soon.
