I have used this for years , it is the only way to get Thunderbird to do what it should always have been able to do, without an add-on. Minimize at Start. It stopped working with Version 60 but I works ok if you go to the trouble to set
<extensions.strictCompatibility> to false, now a happy Thunderbird user again till they stuff it up again.
