A search engine plugin to search plugins that you can use for searching by adding them to your search engine plugins.

Some would call this an add-on... I call it a work of art.

This addon is invaluable for finding/ adding searchable sites to firefox's search box.

As of 2001-10 it seems firefox's built-in addon search box may fail to return an accurate match when searching for the mycroft addon.

To find and install the mycroft search plug-in I had to browse directly to mozilla's addon web site.

Excellent.
It's just another search engine on the search bar, but definitely a MUST HAVE.
This is the first thing I install on every new Firefox profile.

As a side note: a feature I would like to see on the Mycroft Project Website is some way to quickly add a bunch of predefined search engines, or at least grouping them so one does not need to search for and add each one by one.

Excellentes Tool zum hinzufügen vieler (ca. 16000) vorkonfigurierter Suchmaschinen. Findet man keine vorkonfigurierte Suchmaschine auf http://mycroft.mozdev.org/search-engines.html, so kann man Suchmaschinen auf http://mycroft.mozdev.org/submitos.html selbst konfigurieren, wenn z.B. bei den österreichischen Wertpapier-Discountbrokern www.direktanlage.at oder www.easycharts.at mit Suche nach "TEST" das Wort TEST im URL vorkommt. Diese freie Konfigurationsmöglichkeit gibt es sonst nur beim Internet Explorer 7, leider bis Dez. 2008 (noch) nicht beim Internet Explorer 8.

Mit Mycroft Project hat man Zugriff auf hunderte Such-PlugIns und kann auch rasch selbst neue Such-Plug-Ins erstellen, falls noch nicht vorhanden. Ich verwende Mycroft seit vielen Monaten. Das unterscheidet Firefox wesentlich vom IE.

Just love Mycroft :-)
It allows one to use one or any amongst hundred and hundred search engines, from the most general to the über specialized.
Mycroft search engines simply are a MUST have!

An absolute necessity to get the most out of firefox. It used to come with a connection to this site by default, actually. No good reason why it was taken out. Has practically ALL search engines out there for the firefox search bar. If you don't have it, get it, if you already have it, get other people to get it. It's a MUST have!

I discovered myself this page with enourmous (or even complete peorhaps ) search engines ... I was happy surprised to see an addon for firefox ... Thank you "clouserw" this is great plugin ...
