I used to love this add-on, but I've noticed over the last ~6 months it's gotten progressively worse. The new search history is annoying because it covers half my screen, but I did figure out how to turn it off. The most important thing is that over the last few weeks, I can't rely on it to find messages. If I type a query, where I know there are messages, I'll get "no message [sic] found." Eventually (minutes!) if I leave it, I'll get a few messages, but also not the complete set. I don't know if the database/index format changed or if there's just a lot of cruft that hasn't been cleaned out, but there's no way to force a reindex/comapct the index/etc.

*** TB has switched the search to always include body. That made searches extremely slow. Now, the default is not to search in body for standard search ***

The actual searching is done by TB, not by the addon. ES only hands over a list of search parameters which then are searched for by TB.

Also, reindexing is an TB action, not done by the addon.

So both failures should not reduce the addon star rating.


Please put failing queries into an issue in github, then I can try to find out what fails.
