Not sure if I understood you correctly, but this add-on is not supposed to move Thunderbird into the tray. If you want Thunderbird to go into the tray, enable the option to minimize to the tray in Thunderbird's settings (in recent versions of Thunderbird, Windows only) or use a helper program like KDocker.
