The AddOn works like expected (with Thunderbird 38.4.0 at the moment). The feature request from David.P is implemented as an option - also per folder, which is just the right thing:
Ignore From account on Reply or Reply (let Thunderbird choose)

Is there any chance for an updated version?
Combined with filtering it would be the most important extension I'm using.

Maybe a look into the source of Header Tools Lite https://addons.mozilla.org/thunderbird/addon/header-tools-lite/ could help to improve the extension, mostly to prevent the deletion of messages.

I'm willing to donate for a working tagging extension, who else is?

I haven't tried this extension yet, at the moment I'm using Header Tools Lite https://addons.mozilla.org/thunderbird/addon/header-tools-lite/ to set the References-header manually.
In the description of that extension I found this:
Some IMAP servers, such as Gmail, do not accept changes if some basic headers (date, sender, the message id, object) are not modified . With the option “Forcing changes with IMAP accounts enabled“, the changes are forced by changing the date of the message of 1 second.

A great add-on, but unfortunately there is no active development anymore. But you find a extended version here: http://forums.mozillazine.org/viewtopic.php?p=4276735#p4276735 See the last page of this topic, if the link there ( http://www.odois.org/temp/lulis/msgnotes-0.1.8-tb.xpi ) is not working anymore.

Hi,
thanks for adding the 32bit support. Unfortunately firefox hangs after I entered the first time the passwort for kwallet.
I found http://www.guillermomolina.com.ar/svn/firefox-kde-wallet/HOW_TO_DEBUG and followed the instructions written there (without download and copying the libkdewallet.so, because that is the 64 bit version), but I don't get any output related to this extension...
Now I see "remove # in DEBUG_FLAGS". Is this meaningful? If so, in which file I shall remove #?

edit: Sorry, but Firefox also freezes with the 0.4 version...
