This is the most useful add-on I've used! You can customize to the 1/4 hr when the reminder pops up; to the day of the wk, month, yr you can repeat the reminder; a snooze function you can customize to the minute or hr(s) if you want it to pop up again; if you want to be reminded minutes, hrs, days before the event; It will even calculate the # of the anniversary or birthday based on the year the original event/birth occurred. You should click all the symbols, options, arrows to see all the customizations available which are too numerous to mention. It also has a great help website. I don't know how I managed without this add-on!
