Privacy Policy — Magic Translator

1. Processed Data and Purpose:
Magic Translator translates email messages directly inside the Thunderbird reading pane and compose window. When you click "Translate", the email text content is sent over direct HTTPS (or local HTTP) to the selected provider (Google Translate, MyMemory, DeepL API, Google Gemini API, Cloud/Local LLMs, or LibreTranslate). If Google is temporarily unavailable, a transparent automatic fallback to MyMemory is performed. Email headers (sender, recipients, date) are not collected.

2. Local Storage:
Your API keys, optional email for extended MyMemory quota, and settings are stored strictly locally on your machine via browser.storage.local. No data is stored on our servers.

3. Zero Telemetry:
The extension collects zero personal data, contains no analytics trackers, and serves no ads.
