Simple and functional, does exactly what it says on the tin. Minimizes and restores just they way I want. I would love to see this extension built out for all Mozilla based applications; Flock, Wyzo, Songbird, Kompozer etc.

Wow, thank you so much for this add-on. It is really doing nothing less than making Thunderbird usable for me. It's mind-boggling that Mozilla "updates" their software and the only thing I can notice between updates, is as SnowMD points out, my ADD-ON to make the program minimize to system tray is no longer compatible. In 2009 it's ridiculous that I even need an add-on to do this. Well, as it is, this one is the best because now I can even close to tray like I originally wanted. Thanks Jivko you are a prince among men.

I uninstalled original Minimize to Tray by Mook, Brad Peterson as it is no longer "compatible". This extension works fine. Thanks.

It's a good idea, I like it, but i would like changing they shortkey buttons at least the M, would get a 5 star if that option was added. thanks

A great add on that adds a very simple yet very helpful function to Thunderbird. Considering the popularity of the add on and its simple implementation I hope Mozilla pick it up, give a polish and incorporate it into the base app like they have done with some of the more popular Firefox addons.

Would it be possible to add an icon in the statue bar that I can click the icon to minimize the FF3?(just like the minimize to tray enhanced in the FF2)

Also, I noticed that when minimizetotray was installed for a user that did not have admin rights a double click was required to maximize from the system tray, even though Vista is configured for single-click mouse operations. With a user that has admin rights only a single-click is needed to restore from the system tray.

Awesome but has a problem with dual monitors. The menu that pops up with right click appears on primary monitor if your system tray is on your secondary monitor.

Very cool program, but I wonder why there is not a "minimize to tray" BUTTON that I could put it to my toolbar. That would be more covinient I think.

It works great, except for the "minimize on close" option. It doesn't seem to have any effect for me. After enabling the option, Firefox still exits when I click the close window button. It may be an incompatibility with some other add-on, but I don't know which one it could be.
Still, that's a minor quibble. Thanks for updating this great add-on!
