can't get it to work in firefox 3.0. How do you update the rdf file or edit the rdf file?

It seems to work fine with 3.0. I downloaded it and edited the install.rdf file. I changed the install version from 3.0b5 to just 3.0 and installed it. You might have to right click and open with Firefox to get it to install.

For a Power user like me, I need and use AutoCopy almost every hour while on the web. newest version is incompatible with fox 3.0. I hope there is an update very soon. Rating provided is for install with any version of FF 2.0

For some reason the Paste on Middle click option will not stay checked after restarting FF3. Anybody know why?

Simply put, this extension is a nifty little tool that is hard to live without once you get used to it.

Massive thanks to Spanky69's file hack guide to allow FF3.0 to use it. He has effectively brought back a lot of happiness to my internet browsing.

Is the incompatibility between Autocopy 0.8 and Firefox 3.01 the same version problem as happened when 3.0 came out. If so, I'll install 3.01 and just continue using Nightly Tester Tools, which tells Firefox to ignore that compatibility test. Anyone know?? Autocopy is an absolutely fantastic tool that is painful to be without!

Two other comments:

1) 7-zip is a Windows tool, so the helpful solution someone offered won't work for other platforms (which have unofficial versions of 7-zip, not sure if the Mac version would work or me or not).

2) It's not fair to complain about support when the developer has made this great tool available for free... but does anyone know why he/she isn't actively taking care of these compatibility issues? The 3.0 version compatibility problem was totally trivial to fix but had our loyal community in a panic for days. If the developer is too busy (which happens, no problem!) I hope someone can be "deputized" (empowered) to make these little fixes, or at least let us know what the situation is and what we can do or when the fix is likely to happen.

Having come from a Linux environment where automatically copying selected text to the clipboard is an OS default action for all applications, I really missed this when I returned to Windows. At least with this add-on, I can get that same functionality back in my web browsing.

However, I do not have any RAR software, nor do I wish to install it. The developer really should update the package for 3.0 post haste, rather than expecting us to do it.
