it would be nice to update it in order to be used & installed in thunderbird too, as i got rid of mr tech install delay, it's always incompatible after updates

I went ahead and listed it as compatible with Thunderbird, and it seems to work. You'll have to download it and install it locally, though. See http://kb.mozillazine.org/Extensions_%28Thunderbird%29#Installation for more info on how to do that.
