Equalizer Organiser – Privacy Policy

Equalizer Organiser does not collect, send or share your data. It has no analytics, no tracking, no adverts and no servers. The developer cannot see anything you do with it.

What it reads
Only the emails, attachments and files you choose to load or add. It only reads your mail: it never changes, moves, deletes or sends messages.

Where your data is stored
Your case notes, timeline, cast list, tags, bundle details, settings and custody log are stored only inside your Thunderbird profile on your own computer. Files you export (PDF, ZIP, CSV) are saved where you choose.

What can leave your computer
Nothing is sent automatically. Only these actions, which you start yourself:
- Help links (for example Acas, GOV.UK, Citizens Advice) open that website in your web browser. No case information is sent with them.
- The Subject Access Request helper creates an email draft in Thunderbird. You review it and decide whether to send it.

Optional ExifTool helper (native messaging)
This is off by default. If you install the separate ExifTool helper and switch it on in Settings, the add-on sends the file you are analysing (its contents and file name) to that helper program on your own computer and receives back the file's metadata. Nothing is sent over the internet. The permission is only requested if you switch this option on.

Websites
The add-on does not interact with websites, and websites cannot tell that it is installed.

Deleting your data
Uninstalling the add-on removes the data it stored in your Thunderbird profile. Files you exported stay where you saved them.
