Thank you for the report! The cause was outside my control: in August 2026, Google blocked the translation-endpoint parameter this extension relied on, so everyone hit the exact same "HTTP 429" error -- it wasn't a design flaw in the extension itself. It's fixed now: version 1.0.3 is live and should have updated automatically, or you can grab it manually from the add-on page. Please give it another try -- and if you're happy with it now, I'd really appreciate it if you updated your rating.

By the way, I build these extensions because I needed them myself and couldn't find ones that were simple and actually worked, so I made my own and I'm sharing them in case they're useful to others too. Right now there's the Vacation Responder, Missing Attachment Plus, Snooze, and Web Translate Toggle for Thunderbird for Thunderbird, and Proxy Now for Firefox and Chrome. Es tut mir leid für die Unannehmlichkeiten. Anfangs hat die Übersetzung einwandfrei funktioniert — im August 2026 hat Google jedoch den von der Erweiterung genutzten Übersetzungsdienst-Parameter blockiert, wodurch bei allen Nutzern derselbe Fehler ("HTTP 429") auftrat, nicht nur bei diesem Add-on.

Die reparierte Version (1.0.3) wurde bereits eingereicht und wird gerade vom Thunderbird-Review-Team geprüft. Sobald sie freigegeben ist, wird sie automatisch installiert.

Sorry for the inconvenience — the translation worked fine at first, but in August 2026 Google blocked the endpoint parameter the add-on relied on, which caused this exact "HTTP 429" error for everyone, not just this add-on.

The fixed version (1.0.3) has already been submitted and is currently being reviewed by the Thunderbird review team. It will update automatically once approved.
