Thunderbird Cert Medic Free

Thunderbird Cert Medic Free helps you inspect and safely manage Thunderbird SSL/TLS certificate exceptions.
It scans saved certificate exceptions, identifies entries that appear to be orphaned or no longer associated with an active Thunderbird mail-server configuration, and lets you safely clean one eligible exception at a time.
Before cleanup, Cert Medic creates a verified backup so the most recent change can be undone if needed.
Features:
• Scan saved Thunderbird certificate exceptions
• Identify active and orphaned entries
• Live TLS certificate validation against configured mail servers
• Safe single-entry cleanup
• Verified backup before cleanup
• Undo the most recent cleanup
• Local processing — no analytics, advertising, tracking, or telemetry
Thunderbird Cert Medic Free currently supports Windows and requires the free DigitalDaddio Windows helper for local certificate inspection, backup, cleanup, and Undo operations.

Thunderbird Cert Medic Free requires the free DigitalDaddio Windows native helper for local certificate inspection, verified backup, cleanup, and Undo. The helper communicates locally with Thunderbird through nativeMessaging and does not send email content, passwords, analytics, or telemetry to DigitalDaddio. • Updated the toolbar tooltip to clearly identify Thunderbird Cert Medic Free.
• Copy Audit Report now produces a human-readable report instead of raw JSON.
• Detailed saved audit reports remain available in JSON format for diagnostics.
• No changes were made to certificate cleanup behavior or safety controls.

Thunderbird Cert Medic Free processes Thunderbird certificate-exception and mail-server connection information locally on the user’s computer. It does not read or transmit email message bodies, attachments, account passwords, or address-book data.
Live certificate validation connects directly to the mail-server hostnames and ports configured by the user in Thunderbird in order to inspect the TLS certificate presented by those servers. This information is not sent to DigitalDaddio.
Thunderbird Cert Medic does not include analytics, advertising, tracking, or telemetry. Certificate scan and cleanup data remains local to the user’s computer.
The separately installed Windows native helper is used only for local certificate inspection, verified backup, cleanup, Undo, and related Cert Medic operations.

Some add-ons ask for permission to perform certain functions (example: a tab management add-on will ask permission to access your browser’s tab system).

Since you’re in control of your Thunderbird, the choice to grant or deny these requests is yours. Accepting permissions does not inherently compromise your browser’s performance or security, but in some rare cases risk may be involved.
